Fortnite Leaks: Ghostface and Wednesday Addams Join Fortnitemares
Dataminers have revealed huge crossovers for Fortnitemares, including Ghostface from Scream 7 and Netflix’s Wednesday.
A Spooky Season to Remember
Epic Games is getting ready to scare Fortnite players once again. According to a wave of fresh leaks from the game’s most trusted dataminers, the upcoming Fortnitemares event will feature some heavy-hitting horror icons. Players can expect to see Ghostface from the upcoming Scream 7 movie, alongside a massive crossover with Netflix’s hit series Wednesday just in time for its second season.
Every October, Fortnite transforms its battle royale island into a haunted playground. This year seems no different, but the scale of the collaborations is turning heads. Dataminers dug into the latest patch files following a recent update, uncovering strings of code and placeholder assets that point directly to these spooky additions.
Ghostface Is Calling
Let’s start with the Woodsboro killer. Ghostface has been a dream collab for horror fans for years. With Scream 7 currently generating massive buzz, the timing is perfect. The leaked files suggest the Ghostface outfit will come with multiple style options. Players will likely get the classic tattered black robe, but there are also hints of a clean, modern variant tied directly to the new movie’s aesthetic.
Naturally, the skin wouldn’t be complete without the iconic hunting knife. Leakers found evidence of a harvesting tool that replicates Ghostface’s signature weapon. There is also talk of a built-in emote. Imagine wiping blood off a blade after securing a Victory Royale. It is the kind of detail Fortnite fans love.
Wednesday Addams Arrives on the Island
But Epic Games isn’t stopping with slasher films. The leaks also point toward a massive partnership with Netflix to celebrate the return of Wednesday. The Jenna Ortega-led series took the world by storm, and her deadpan character is a perfect fit for Fortnitemares.
According to the datamined files, the Wednesday Addams cosmetics will go far beyond a simple skin. Players can look forward to:
- Her classic Nevermore Academy school uniform
- A casual, all-black gothic outfit
- Thing, the faithful severed hand, as a reactive Back Bling
- A cello glider and a gothic umbrella pickaxe
There is also a highly anticipated emote in the works. Yes, that dance. The viral cello-heavy dance from the show’s first season is reportedly being added to the game, allowing players to replicate Wednesday’s awkward, mesmerizing moves while moving across the map.
New Spooky Gameplay Features
Beyond the cosmetics, the leaks hint at some spooky gameplay changes. The classic Pumpkin Launcher is rumored to make its return, possibly sporting a new look. There are also whispers of a special telephone booth mechanic scattered across the map. If you answer the ringing phone, you might hear Ghostface’s creepy voice on the other end, giving you a bounty target or a jump scare. It is this kind of immersive gameplay that makes Fortnitemares stand out from standard seasonal updates.
Historically, Fortnitemares is Epic’s most successful seasonal event. Over the years, we have seen Michael Myers, Alan Wake, Jack Skellington, and Resident Evil characters drop onto the island. Bringing Ghostface and Wednesday into the mix keeps the momentum going.
While Epic Games has not confirmed any dates yet, Fortnitemares typically kicks off in mid-October. Since these files are already buried in the game’s code, we will likely see an official reveal in the coming weeks. Fans are already saving up their V-Bucks. If these leaks hold true, this October is going to be an expensive month for cosmetic collectors.
