Fortnite Adds Stranger Things Vecna and Eddie Munson Skins
Fortnitemares 2026 brings Netflix’s Stranger Things back to the Item Shop with highly requested Vecna and Eddie Munson outfits.
The spooky season has officially arrived on the Fortnite island, and Epic Games is pulling out all the stops for Fortnitemares 2026. After years of speculation and endless concept art from the community, the developer has finally delivered what might be the most anticipated crossover in the game’s recent history. Players can now grab outfits based on Netflix’s blockbuster sci-fi series Stranger Things, specifically featuring the tragic metalhead Eddie Munson and the terrifying ruler of the Upside Down, Vecna.
The Metalhead Hero Finally Arrives
Ever since he shredded his guitar on a rooftop to distract a swarm of demobats in 2022, Eddie Munson has been at the top of Fortnite wishlists. Epic Games has done the character justice with a highly detailed model. The new skin features Eddie in his signature Hellfire Club shirt, denim vest, and mop of curly hair. But the real star of the show is the built-in emote.
Purchasing the Eddie Munson outfit grants players access to a guitar-shredding traversal emote that pays direct homage to his iconic ‘Master of Puppets’ performance. He pulls out his beloved red and black electric guitar, generating lightning effects that flare up around the player. It is loud, dramatic, and exactly what fans wanted. The skin also comes with a Demobat-themed glider and a customized guitar back bling that doubles as a pickaxe.
Facing the Curse of Vecna
On the flip side of the coin is Vecna, the central antagonist of the show’s fourth season. While Fortnite previously featured a Demogorgon skin years ago, Vecna represents a much more menacing, humanoid threat. The character design is incredibly faithful to the show. The skin features glistening, reddish-brown vines wrapped tightly around his flesh, and a menacing glow in his eyes. When players move, the vines subtly shift, giving the skin an eerie, living quality.
Vecna also comes with a unique glider that lets him levitate down to the island, mimicking his telekinetic powers from the series. His harvesting tool is a staff wrapped in grandfather clock parts, a nod to the ominous chiming that signals his curse in the show. When players secure an elimination while wearing the Vecna skin, a faint grandfather clock chime echoes across the immediate area, a chilling detail that is sure to spook nearby opponents.
Pricing, Bundles, and Shop Details
Both skins are currently featured in the Fortnite Item Shop under the ‘Upside Down’ tab. Epic has structured the release so players can buy the items individually or as part of a massive bundle. Here is a breakdown of the pricing:

The cosmetics are only part of the story. The island itself has undergone a dramatic transformation. Creepy fog now blankets the low-lying areas, and several points of interest have been corrupted by rifts resembling the Upside Down. Players can find portal rifts that transport them to temporary, high-loot pocket dimensions filled with Cube Monsters.
Classic Halloween weapons have also crawled out of the vault. The Pumpkin Launcher is back with its signature laughing projectile, alongside the Witch Broom glider and the wood stake shotgun. Epic has also introduced new limited-time challenges that reward players with spooky sprays, lobby tracks, and a glowing jack-o’-lantern back bling. Whether you are hunting down opponents as Vecna or rocking out as Eddie, this year’s seasonal update has plenty of tricks and treats to keep the player base busy.
