Fortnite Launches Permanent Disney Pavilion in Item Shop
Epic Games has introduced the permanent ‘Disney Pavilion’ to the Fortnite Item Shop, offering a dedicated, rotating space for Marvel and Star Wars skins.
Fortnite players who missed out on their favorite Marvel, Star Wars, or classic Disney skins now have a dedicated place to find them. Epic Games has officially introduced the “Disney Pavilion,” a permanent storefront built directly into the Fortnite Item Shop.
It is a major shift in how the game handles licensed cosmetics. For years, players had to cross their fingers and wait for daily shop resets, hoping a coveted superhero or sci-fi icon would randomly reappear. The new pavilion changes that dynamic. It gives Disney’s massive catalog of intellectual property a constant, high-profile home inside the battle royale.
A Dedicated Space for Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar
The Disney Pavilion functions as an umbrella hub within the existing menu interface. Under this new tab, players can browse categorized sections. These sections rotate different collections of outfits, back blings, pickaxes, and emotes from Disney’s various studios. Whether you are looking for a Marvel Avenger, a Star Wars bounty hunter, or a classic Disney villain, the pavilion organizes them in one central location.
While the storefront is permanent, the inventory itself is not static. Epic Games confirmed that the items on display will still rotate regularly. However, the presence of the pavilion guarantees that Disney-owned properties will always have a footprint in the shop. This prevents long droughts where players could go months without seeing a single Marvel or Star Wars skin on offer.
Building the Disney-Epic Universe
This launch is the latest concrete step in a massive collaboration. Earlier this year, The Walt Disney Company announced a whopping $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games. Disney CEO Bob Iger called the move the company’s “biggest entry ever into the world of games.”

The long-term goal of this multi-year partnership is to build an entirely new, persistent digital universe. This universe will exist alongside Fortnite, allowing fans to play, watch, shop, and create their own stories using characters and worlds from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar. While that sprawling virtual world is still under development, the Disney Pavilion acts as an immediate bridge. It merges the commercial sides of both giants right now.
It also represents a smart business move for both companies. Fortnite remains a dominant force in live-service gaming, drawing millions of active players daily. By giving Disney a permanent retail space in the game, Epic secures a steady stream of highly desirable content. Meanwhile, Disney gains a direct pipeline to younger consumers who spend more time in virtual environments than watching traditional television.
The Evolution of Fortnite’s Virtual Marketplace
Fortnite’s relationship with Disney is not new. The crossover history runs deep. It started years ago with simple promotional tie-ins, like Thanos appearing in a limited-time mode to promote the Avengers films. Over time, these events grew. We saw entire Marvel-themed seasons, in-game concerts, and Star Wars events that debuted exclusive movie footage inside the game’s virtual theater.
But the Disney Pavilion represents a transition from temporary marketing stunts to permanent infrastructure. It shows that Epic Games is no longer just running a battle royale game. They are operating a virtual mall. Players do not just buy skins to look cool during a match anymore. They buy them as digital identities to wear across Fortnite’s expanding ecosystem, which now includes LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.
What This Means for the Fortnite Item Shop
The introduction of the Disney Pavilion might also hint at how Epic Games plans to manage its increasingly cluttered cosmetic inventory. With thousands of skins now in the game, the traditional, limited-slot Item Shop has often drawn criticism from players who feel their favorite items rarely return. Creating permanent, branded pavilions could be the blueprint for other major partners, such as Lego or anime franchises, to get their own dedicated spaces down the road.
For now, Fortnite fans can jump into the game and check out the new pavilion. The initial lineup features a mix of familiar faces alongside some newer additions, giving players plenty of options to customize their characters. As the partnership between Epic and Disney deepens, the pavilion will likely serve as the launchpad for all future crossover events and digital merchandise.
